What is freedom? Freedom is defined as the baron or right to act, speak or think as haleness wants without hindrance or restraint from a despotic government. The design 1984 by George Orwell follows the life of Winston Smith, a man living in a dystopian land governed by the despotic leader, big(p) fellow and the caller. It follows his struggles to rebel and to understand more of the inner industrial base of his government. In the novel 1984, a major theme is freedom, and a lack thereof.
